SuperVision® Plus Omega-3 and Lutein is a unique formula of natural compounds known to benefit the eyes. The leading cause of blindness in adults over 40 is degeneration of the macula (the center of the retina) of the eyes, called age-related macular degeneration or AMD. Smokers, baby boomers, women, and people with blue eyes are at the greatest risk.
Exposure to pollution and sunlight can deteriorate the macula and reduce our eyes’ ability to pick up and transmit visual images to the brain. Reduction of overall and peripheral vision can put an end to normal activities like reading or doing fine handiwork. Antioxidants protect the fine capillaries of the retina. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid, vital for development and maintenance of the retina, as well as organs and nerves.
